Police authorities searching for Hannah Graham, who was reported missing last Sept. 13, found human remains on an abandoned property 8 miles from where the 18-year-old University of Virginia student was last seen.

This breakthrough on Graham's case is very crucial as the discovery of the human remains will be a great deal of work for the authorities. According to Col. Steve Sellers of Albemarle County police department, as reported by CNN, the discovery of the body is not yet conclusive of anything.

"We cannot and we will not jump to any conclusions," Sellers said.

He also asked the public to stay patient as they move forward into pursuing a new and ongoing death investigation.

The police search for the missing teenager was supposedly scheduled for Sunday but it was called off in order for the authorities to focus their investigation on the abandoned property.  The property where the human corpse was found was later found out to be Lynchburg Road property, a police officer from Albemarle said.

Graham was last seen over a month ago in the Charlottesville's Downtown Mall area through several of the establishment's surveillance cameras. One footage showed Graham leaving the Tempo Bar around 2 a.m. on Sept. 13, followed by 32-year-old Jesse Matthew. Matthew is now the primary suspect for Graham's disappearance.

Forensic evidence revealed Matthew to be linked to another missing case — that of 20-year-old Virginia Tech student Morgan Harrington, who was reportedly last seen hitch-hiking along U.S. 29 outside of Charlottesville way back October 2009.  In January 2014, Harrington's dead body was found on a nearby farm.

Parents of Hannah Graham, John and Sue Graham, remain relentless with the news, saying, "It is heartbreaking for us that the person or persons who know where Hannah is have not come forward with that information. It is within their power... to end this nightmare for us all."

Jesse Matthew will appear in court on Dec. 4 for Graham's disappearance case.
