"Hannibal" season 3 welcomed Francis Dolarhyde aka the Tooth Fairy in the previous episode titled "The Great Red Dragon." His arrival changes things, making them odder and more complicated, as Will decides to team up with Hannibal this time around.

With a new serial killer on the loose, Will can't help but picture himself in another gruesome torment, which isn't hard for him to do as he has already undergone the most heinous kinds of torture in the hands of the cannibalistic doctor. Will knows that going after Dolarhyde is much like a suicide mission, which is why he decides to enlist the help of Hannibal to aid him in obtaining the new killer's profile. This episode titled "And the Woman Clothed with the Sun..." shows just how complicated their bond is.

This move worries Alana, who reminds Will that there hasn't been a time that he worked with Hannibal without making the situation a lot worse. However, Will insists, not because he thinks the dynamics between him and the doctor will change but because he has no other choice.

In this episode, Dolarhyde meets a new woman in his life, to be played by guest star Rutina Wesley from "True Blood." As fans already may have heard, the woman named Reba serves as a love interest to the conflicted murderer.

"You know what, we really do honor the book, and so you see the full extent of that tragic love story," Richard Armitage, who portrays the role of the monstrous new bad guy, told TV Line. "To me, really, the crimes aside ... Dolarhyde and Reba represent a tragic, romantic love story, which really doesn't end well and escalates into a Shakespearian opera of the proportions that Thomas Harris really explores in the novel."

"Hannibal" season 3 episode 9 "And the Woman Clothed with the Sun..." airs July 30.
