While the scheduled premiere episode of "Hannibal" season 3 in the summer lineup of NBC is still unannounced, the network recently revealed that the role of Will Graham's (Hugh Dancy) new wife has already been filled.

TVLine broke the news that Tony Award winner Nina Arianda will appear in episode 8 of "Hannibal" season 3 as Will's wife Molly. The show will have to feature a time jump several years ahead so that Arianda's character can debut in the hit psychological thriller. According to the report, Molly will be the driving force for Will to forget his troubled past. She will also encourage Will to return to the FBI despite knowing all the risks of accepting the job.

This will not be the first time for Arianda and Dancy to work together as a married couple. Back in 2011, both actors appeared as Vanda Jordan and Thomas Novachek in Broadway's "Venus in Fur," where Arianda earned her Tony Award.

Arianda will appear in four episodes in the upcoming season.

Meanwhile, Gillian Anderson, the actress who portrays the role of psychotherapist Bedelia Du Maurier, admitted that she finds the show extremely dark for her taste.

In an interview posted on The Hollywood Reporter, Anderson said, "Hannibal is too dark for me! It is. If I'm going to watch some of my scenes, I need to have my finger on the fast-forward [button]. I literally am not that person."

Anderson's role will return to the third season to help Hannibal (Mads Mikkelsen) in his personal struggle. She was also promoted from a guest character to series regular . Earlier rumors also reported that Anderson and Mikkelsen were spotted shooting several scenes in a European country looking like a couple.

NBCC Entertainment Chairman Robert Greenblatt made the earlier announcement that "Hannibal" season 3 will be aired sometime this summer. However, he did not mention the specific date for the show's premiere.
