It seems like series creator Bryan Fuller wants viewers to prepare for extra gory scenes in the upcoming third season of "Hannibal." Recently, he revealed new details that are sure to excite fans of the psychological thriller. 

Fans will recall that the second season ended when Hannibal Lecter (Mads Mikkelsen) stabbed Will Graham (Hugh Dancy) and left him for dead before flying to France with Dr. Bedelia Du Maurier (Gillian Anderson). However, the criminal profiler survived Lecter's attack, and later followed the pair to Europe. Fans will soon see what happens after that, but it seems the show has more surprises in store for its viewers.  

Fuller posted on his official Twitter account that the premiere episode of "Hannibal" season 3 will take place in four different time periods. He also posted the titles of the first three episodes, namely "Antipasto," "Primavera," and "Secondo," all helmed by Vincenzo Natali. 

The titles of the episodes are obviously lifted from Italian culinary terms. This is not unusual for the series since they used French culinary words in season 1 and Japanese food terms in season 2. However, the show seems to be breaking tradition in its third season as one of the future titles is not taken from an Italian culinary dictionary. According to Fuller, the eighth episode of "Hannibal" season 3 helmed by "Game of Thrones" and "Constantine" director Neil Marshall is called "The Great Red Dragon." 

Aside from episode titles, the series creator talked about one of the new characters that will be introduced this season: Francis Dolarhyde. 

In one of his previous tweets, Fuller showed the concept illustration that will be used for the kimono that Dolarhyde will wear in "Hannibal" season 3. The serial killer is the main villain in the 1981 Thomas Harris novel "Red Dragon" on which the series is loosely based. He will be portrayed by Richard Armitage in the TV series.  

"Hannibal" season 3 premieres on June 4 on NBC.
