'Hart of Dixie' season 4 synopsis: Zoe and Wade figure things out

It's going to be one happy new year for Zoe when "Hart of Dixie" season 4 premieres this January. But for its third episode, that's when things will really start to pick up for Zoe and Wade.

The official synopsis for "The Very Good Bagel" reads:

"After weeks of going back and forth with their relationship problems, Zoe (Rachel Bilson) and Wade (Wilson Bethel) finally start making progress. Lemon (Jaime King) reminisces about her high school days and enlists Annabeth (Kaitlyn Black) and Crickett (guest star Brandi Burkhardt) to crash George's (Scott Porter) parents' lake house. While rescuing the girls from their fun night, George and Lavon (Cress Williams) make drastic decisions regarding their love lives."

Not only will this be a great start of the year for Zoe and Wade, fans of the love team will surely have a ball knowing that the two are doing their best to figure things out. It will take an entire episode for Zoe and Wade to understand how different and individually independent they are. But in the end, they will also talk about how they can work together as they prepare for Zoe's pregnancy.

Carter Matt notes that it will be plenty of fun to see Zoe as "a bit of a scatter-brain." Becoming a mommy will surely make it worse.

On the other hand, creator Leila Gerstain gave an assurance to The Hollywood Reporter and said: "It is a story about two people who are having a baby ... The majority of this season is they're in a happy, good relationship. They are dealing with, 'Oh my God, we're going to be parents,' but they're going to get together."

Meanwhile, while Zoe and Wade are busy with their relationship, Annabeth is busy with something else. She is up to something and it will also be fun to see more of her this time around.

"Hart of Dixie" season 4 premieres Jan. 9, while the third episode will air on Jan. 23.
