"Hawaii Five-0" season 7 is currently on a two-week break, but when it returns, viewers will get to see a couple of new guest stars and revisit an old case that has been left open for several years.

Before the hiatus, the show left off with episode 22, wherein Steve McGarrett (Alex O'Loughlin) helped the granddaughter of a United States Ship (USS) Arizona survivor seek justice for her grandfather who got killed by a group of bank robbers. While he was working on the case, Steve discovered something that he has a personal connection with, which allowed him to learn more about the vital role his own grandfather, whom he never met, had at Pearl Harbor. He was a hero, just like him and his father. Solving the case helped the granddaughter, as well as Steve, find closure.

When the show returns for episode 23, it will feature Danny Williams (Scott Caan) trying to protect an unnamed comatose patient who is showing signs of coming into consciousness. It is said that this particular patient is the key witness in Danny's last Honolulu Police Department (HPD) case before meeting Steve and joining Five-0. According to CarterMatt, "Orange is the New Black" and "Gotham" actress Lori Petty is going to make an appearance in the episode and she is going to play the role of a nurse, named Jenny Kitson, who is taking care of the said comatose patient for about six years.

Petty's guest appearance on the show was first reported by Entertainment Weekly last month. Her character is said to help Danny protect the coma patient safe from those who want to "silence him forever."

Another guest star to look out for in the upcoming episode is "Major Crimes" actor Michael Paul Chan, who will play the role of Tanaka, Danny's former HPD Captain.

"Hawaii Five-0" season 7 episode 23 will air Friday, April 28, at 9 p.m. EDT on CBS Television Network.
