Waikiki Beach will once again witness the action-packed sequences from "Hawaii Five-O" as cast and crew return to the tropical paradise to film the show's seventh season.

In an interview with Hawaii News Now, lead star Alex O'Loughlin joined the rest of the people behind the show for the traditional Hawaiian blessing ceremony near the Hilton Hawaiian Village Wednesday morning.

"I love coming home to Hawaii and having these little sprinkles," the actor said.

Also in attendance were co-stars Daniel Dae Kim, Grace Park, Jorge Garcia and Chi McBride. Executive producer Peter Lenkov was also seen during the ceremony.

O'Loughlin admitted that he still has no idea where his character Steve McGarrett will be heading in the upcoming season.

"I don't know what Peter has in store for us," the actor stated. "I'm sure he has all sorts of love and torture and a combination of the both."

Lenkov, on the other hand, teased in an interview with Entertainment Weekly in May that McGarrett's near-death experience at the end of season 6 will have a huge effect on his thoughts about his profession in the upcoming season.

"He just starts to reflect on everything, the choices that he's made and looks for a reason to continue doing what he's doing," the executive producer said. "That's going to play a little bit of a theme next year. McGarrett may be being a little more aware of his mortality, and also his legacy of what am I going to leave behind?"

It also appears like Kono (Park) will contemplate about leaving the team in season 7. According to Lenkov, Kono had been through a lot of trauma in season 6, and her husband Adam (Ian Anthony Dale) had been imprisoned. The executive producer teased that everyone will start thinking if being in the police force is really worth it next season.

CBS will premiere "Hawaii Five-O" season 7 on Sept. 23.
