The brewing tension between Cullen Bohannon (Anson Mount) and the Swede (Christopher Heyerdahl) will culminate in an inevitable showdown in the upcoming episode of AMC's "Hell on Wheels."

In "Elixir of Life," Cartermatt reports that the two will face off after weeks of circling around each other. Cullen will reportedly confront the Swede after enduring one too many taunts. Meanwhile, Durant (Colm Meany) is hatching his latest scheme and he will involve Maggie (Chelah Horsdal).

Also in episode 5, another violence rocks Chinatown during the Tin Hau Don festival. Tensions are still running high between the Chinese and the white railroad workers. Chang is still egging his countrymen to refuse working in the railroad. Even Tao (Tzi Ma) and Fong (Angela Zhou) abstain from doing their job. Cullen then has to find a perfect way to negotiate with the disgruntled workers so they can all get on with their tasks for the Central Pacific.

Meanwhile, Angela Zhou spoke to the International Business Times about the challenges of playing Fong/Mei, the Chinese girl pretending to be a man to continue working with the railroad company. The past episodes dwelled on why her character decided to disguise her true self and how her life had been back in her home country.

The New Zealand-raised actress also discussed on Fong/Mei and Cullen's "interesting relationship" in the series and how she and Anson Mount worked on that chemistry.

"Anson and I are just buddies! I remember I told him I was working on the accent and he said, 'Oh, I'm an acting teacher. Do you want me to run you through some vocal exercises?' He's great to work with on set."

As for Fong/Mei's future in the show and whether or not she foresees danger for her character, Zhou said that remains to be seen.

She said, "Well this is 'Hell on Wheels,' there is always a lot of danger. I don't know. Everyone's going to have to stay tuned. All I can say is that Mei will come up against a lot of challenges. It's going to be one hell of a ride!"

"Hell on Wheels" airs Saturday at 9 p.m. EST on AMC.
