The "Hellraiser" franchise just might get back out of hell, as the director for "Hellraiser: Judgment" has quite a few ideas for a sequel for the next movie.

Gary J. Tunnicliffe, the director in question, is optimistic for a new sequel and has some ideas for its execution. The 46-year-old director has stated in an interview with Comicbook that a sequel story has occurred to him after the release of "Hellraiser: Judgment," and he intends to do a follow-up story of the said movie, particularly that of the movie's highlight character Pinhead, which is one of the leaders of the Cenobites, a race of malevolent beings intent on torturing and tormenting mortals for bleak purposes.

"I have thought about it afterward, what I think would be great fun. Maybe a new Cenobite ruler comes in or takes over, and a new head priest comes in, and it's not working out and clearly this person, this Cenobite's not doing a great job. And underhandedly, the Auditor is leaving a trail of breadcrumbs for the guy who is Pinhead to find his way back, and he gets pulled in. And then it's like, he turns up, and it's like a showdown between the newly born Pinhead and this guy who's taken over his mantle. It's like, and we do a bit of a standoff, and it's like battle of the Hell priests," according to Tunnicliffe.

Though this is all granted that a sequel for "Hellraiser" get greenlit, since as it is now, the future of the franchise is questionable at best and depends on the popularity of "Hellraiser: Judgment." Regardless, it seems that Tunnicliffe is keen on making Pinhead the protagonist or at least the anti-hero of the next supposed movie since it can be recalled that he was vanquished in "Hellraiser: Judgment."

Fans will have to hold their breaths though since the possibility of this hinges on the popularity of the franchise.
