Henry, Rooney Join 'The Other Side of Football' Exhibition for Red Cross

More than 100 leading European football players, referees and pundits have come together in London to join the project of Canon to help the Red Cross, but this time it hasn't come in the usual form of the charity football match.

European football's biggest names were given digital cameras and asked to capture inspirational or rare scenes to create something away from the pitch for the launch of 'The Other Side of Football' photography charity exhibition.

Names such as Thierry Henry, Wayne Rooney and more of the world's top players have turned photographers to show fans a glimpse of life away from football such as Ashley Cole's portrayal of the Arsenal dressing-room or a photograph of Neil Lennon's Siamese cat.

"The names who took these photos – they are well known in whole world. So of course it is very good that football has a lot of power," said England Manager, Sven-Goran Eriksson.

The exhibition will be held outside the London Eye on the south bank of the River Thames, from 25th May until the end of July and all money raised will go to the Red Cross and projects in disadvantaged communities across the Europe.
