Blizzard Entertainment has announced a new update for the free-to-play multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA) game, "Heroes of the Storm." It comes with new features such as new currencies and items, as well as a new reward system and especially a new hero.

The new hero in "Heroes of the Storm" 2.0 is a "Diablo 2" character — the javelin-wielding duelist Cassia. She "brings implications to the draft," said Tony Hsu, senior game producer, as reported on Eurogamer.net. He added, "Maybe I've never thought of putting Johanna together with Cassia, or Li Li with an assassin — in other cases you might take Brightwing for mobility. Now that I get synergies with blinds, maybe Cassia's the better option along with Li Li. It gives you a different perspective, a different lens of how you want to play the game and which characters might interact with each other."

Cassia has two ultimates, Valkyrie and Ball Lightning. However, the latter, in which she throws a ball of electricity that bounces between targets multiple times, is known to be the most powerful.

On the other hand, there are speculations that an "Overwatch" character could be joining the roster soon. According to fans, "Heroes of the Storm" could be getting the Shuriken-flinging Genji soon. In a report on Polygon, the speculations have stemmed from a particular fan video shot at Blizzard Entertainment's location in Versailles, France, which allegedly shows a Genji-looking character in one of the computer screens. It may not have been noticeable for casual viewers, but the eagle-eyed fans were able to zoom in and show that the image does look a lot like the "Overwatch" character.

Despite the so-called evidence, fans are advised to take this information with a grain of salt and wait for an official announcement from Blizzard Entertainment.
