Players will now have one more battleground to try out in "Heroes of the Storm."

The new battleground, known as the Infernal Shrines, is a new map heavily influenced by the "Diablo" franchise, according to iDigital Times.

Infernal Shrines was originally announced during Blizzard's appearance at Gamescom earlier this month, but they did not release it until now.

The new map features three different shrines, and they are not just there to act as simple adornments to the new battleground. The three shrines will be introducing hordes of skeletons to the battlefield and the first team that manages to defeat 30 of these creatures will be granted the assistance of a new entity known as a Punisher, according to Eurogamer. Punishers are worthy allies to fight alongside with, especially given their abilities that enable them to stun and deal heavy damage to the other heroes on the battlefield.

Blizzard has also announced that Infernal Shrines will be part of a reduced battleground selection pool, and what this means is that players will have a better chance of being able to try out the new map. Only five other battlegrounds will be part of the regular rotation from Aug. 26 to Sept. 2, and those maps are Tomb of the Spider Queen, Sky Temple, Dragon Shire, Cursed Hollow, and Battlefield of Eternity, according to IGN.

Players who want to play "Heroes of the Storm" using maps currently not in the regular rotation will have to opt for custom games.

The release of Infernal Shrines for "Heroes of the Storm" marks the conclusion of what has been an eventful month for the game. Aside from the new battleground, players also welcomed a new hero in the form of Kharazim, otherwise known as the Monk from "Diablo III" as well as a main menu Easter Egg that allowed them to relive their "Duck Hunt" memories.
