"Heroes Reborn" is about to premiere in a few weeks, and while fans will get to see original characters Hiro Nakamura (Masi Oka), Matt Parkman (Greg Grunberg), Mohinder Suresh (Sendhil Ramamurthy) and Angela Petrelli (Cristine Rose), among others, the show will be more about a new batch of Evos — people with powers — than the characters from the original show.

According to Screenrant, executive producer Tim Kring revealed at the Comic-Con International the new characters that viewers will get to meet in the series reboot. Among them are Carlos (Ryan Guzman), Malina (Danika Yarosh), Tommy (Robbie Kay), Emily (Gatlin Green), Joanne (Judith Shekoni), Luke (Zachary Levi), and an unknown character played by Dylan Bruce.

Carlos is described as an Army veteran who's dealing with a lot of mental issues. Although he has an unstable personal and professional life, he has been given a chance to turn his life around. It remains to be seen if he'll seize the opportunity to use his powers to make a difference.

Malina is a young girl who lives in the Arctic who has a mysterious power. She has been living separately from other people so that she can train without anyone knowing that she has special abilities.

Tommy is a teenager who has the ability to make people disappear. He keeps his powers a secret from everybody, even the government, as it appears that this time around, Evos need to be registered. But he is not alone as he has Emily, a non-Evo who Tommy has a crush on. She keeps his secret and goes on the run with him on several episodes.

The main antagonist this season is Luke, a person who hunts down the Evos. Working with him is his wife, Joanne, and Shekoni said that the couple has a very good reason for what they're about to do.

"They are a vigilante couple out to seek some revenge for something that happened to one of their loved ones," she explained. "They lost their son … She's seeking retribution."

Meanwhile, Bruce's character was not revealed at the convention, but the actor said that his character is a "survivalist" and may resort to doing cruel and immoral things for his own benefit.

"Heroes Reborn" premieres on Thursday, Sept. 24 at 8 p.m. on NBC.
