"Heroes Reborn" had its season finale episode back in January and unfortunately, the miniseries is not getting a second season.

The news was confirmed by NBC entertainment chairman Robert Greenblatt, who told reporters during the Television Critics Association press tour in Pasadena last month that there will be "no more incarnations of Heroes coming." Greenblatt has always envisioned the series as one that will be around for only one season.

But the entertainment chairman also added that while the series have come to a close, there may be a possibility for a renewal if series creator Tim Kring realizes that he has more chapters to share. So, if "Heroes Reborn" gets a renewal, what would it be like?

Actor Sendhil Ramamurthy, who plays Mohinder in both the original and miniseries, revealed what the show's future would be had it been given a second chance. He told Digital Spy that he had been in talks to return if there were a second season.

"I know that if there were to have been a second season, that [series creator] Tim Kring had already spoken to me about my schedule," he told the publication.

The actor went on to reveal that Mohinder was supposed to play a bigger role in the series, but his project with "Lucky Man" required a rewrite for the story.

"I had signed on for Lucky Man already and they had this quite big arc written for me - Tim Kring had pitched this huge big arc for my character on Heroes Reborn, so I was a little bit heartbroken."

It appears that the series originally had something planned for Mohinder.

"So it wasn't the arc that was planned for Dr Suresh to come back to Heroes, but I was just really grateful to be able to be a part of it at all," the actor added.
