"Orphan Black" fans had their hearts broken when Paul died last episode, but the actor who portrayed the role will not be out of sight for long. Dylan Bruce, the actor who played the role of Paul in the ongoing sci-fi series, was recently included in the star-studded cast of NBC's reboot show "Heroes Reborn."

Deadline broke the news early this week about Bruce's involvement in the show, saying that the Canadian actor will portray a still undisclosed role for the 13-episode miniseries. It remains unclear if Bruce will have superhuman powers in the series.

"Heroes Reborn" is reportedly the continuation of the now defunct superhero drama "Heroes," which was aired from 2006 to 2010. After its fourth season, the network cancelled the show due to its steady ratings decline.

The official synopsis for the upcoming miniseries reads:

From original creator Tim Kring, the supernatural phenomenon begins again with a fresh crop of inspiring heroes who take on the ultimate struggle between those with extraordinary abilities and those with nefarious motives to hunt and harness their powers. Epic adventures await these newly empowered allies as they cross paths with some of the original characters (such as the beloved 'HRG' and fan-favorite time-traveler Hiro Nakamura), unlocking the mysterious fate of the universe and their place within it."

Bruce will join original "Heroes" cast members Jack Coleman, who will reprise his role as Noah Bennet, and Jimmy Jean-Louis as The Haitian. The newcomers in the superhero series include Zachary Levi, Judith Shekoni, Robbie Kay, and Ryan Guzman. Other original "Heroes" cast members will also appear in the upcoming revival in recurring roles, including Greg Grunberg as Matt Parkman and Masi Oka as the time traveler Hiro Nakamura.

"Heroes Reborn" will be included in the Thursday line-up of shows on NBC beginning this fall.
