Despite Disney having announced that "High School Musical 4" will introduce a new batch of faces, many avid fans of the TV event have remained hopeful to see two of its original cast members, Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens, in it. However, it seems that their clamor has landed on deaf ears as far as Hudgens is concerned as the actress has recently shunned the possibility of lending her presence to the highly anticipated TV-movie.

It has been more than a year since Disney announced "High School Musical 4." However, its release date continues to be a mystery to the fans. Apart from the uncertainty surrounding its arrival date, though, avid fans of the TV-movie are also wondering if two of the original names identified with it, Vanessa Hudgens and Zac Efron, will be part of it. After all, rumors about the former reel and real-life pair joining the ensemble of "High School Musical 4" via their respective special roles were rife last year.

However, in a recent interview with Hudgens, the actress crushed the hope of those clamoring for her inclusion in the project. For Hudgens, her age is the major deterrent to her participation in "High School Musical 4."

"I mean, I'm 28. I could be a teacher, but I refuse to be a teacher! I'm still a teenager at heart. So probably not with me, but I'm excited to see what they whip together," Hudgens told E! News recently.

While Hudgens' statement doused the burning flames of hope of the fans who are dying to see her in "High School Musical 4," reports claim that fans are not just giving up yet. Allegedly, fans will come up with an online petition in order to convince Disney to include the actress and Efron in the project and make Hudgens consider the offer once Disney has agreed to do so.
