The multi-part episodes for the new "Hitman" game are close to wrapping up. However, it may only be "the start," as it is revealed that the game is targeting at least three seasons.

In an interview with Gamespot, lead writer Michael Vogt teases that there are still more surprises waiting for players. "Season 1 is the first act in a feature film. You know all the characters, you know the stakes, you know the dilemma, but it's only getting started," the writer states.

Vogt adds that with at least three seasons, the first episodes of "Hitman" definitely serves as the opening act for the full game. "The prologue, which takes place in the past, is definitely on the main story, and then the main story fades into the background and just plays out in the cutscenes where we introduce the main characters ... and then towards the end [of Season 1] we merge it again. Colorado is this merging point, where from now on and going forward, the missions and the main story are fully integrated," Vogt adds.

"Hitman" has been released as a multi-part game, with already four episodes from the first season out. Recently, the new episode DLC has been released, dubbed as "Freedom Fighters," which is set in Colorado. The final DLC for the season is reportedly set in Japan.

Developer IO Interactive has yet to announce a start date for season 2 of "Hitman." Meanwhile, a physical edition of the game, together with all of the episodes for the first season, will be released early next year. Aside from all the season 1 episodes, "Hitman: The Complete First Season" also includes in-game bonuses such as extra Mission Packs, as well as the additional exclusive "The Saravejo Six" missions for the PS4 edition. The whole package will reportedly have a $60 price tag.
