'Hitman' DLC, updates: Episode 2 goes live

The second installment in the multi-part "Hitman" game is now live.

Announcing the release on the website, developer IO Interactive stated that since the expansion is part of the series, and since there are content exclusives, the "Hitman: Episode 2" content rolled out as a staggered release. The schedules were fixed on April 26 for the PC (via Steam) and Xbox One versions, while the PlayStation 4 game version got a roll-out schedule depending on the region.

This is in connection with exclusive content for the PS4. The "Hitman: Episode 2" bundle introduces the continuation of the "Sarajevo Six" contracts. The second installment for PS4 players is titled "The Enforcer," and takes place on the second episode's current setting, the Italian seaside town of Sapienza.

In "The Enforcer," Agent 47 is tasked with tracking down Gary Lunn, one of the top lieutenants working for the Sarajevo Six crime group. US PlayStation Blog gives a hint for players, saying that Lunn "is a highly trained professional and can most likely be found moving around Villa Caruso or the bio lab."

As for the second episode itself, Agent 47 will have to "eliminate Silvio Caruso and Francesca De Santis and destroy their scientific research." Although players will be dropped straightaway into the area, hints and background information is readily available, since players just need to contact Agent 47's handler. "If you want to know more, Diana has been trusted with the specifics, as always," reads the post.

The "Episode 2" pack is readily available as part of the "Full Experience" bundle for "Hitman," with at least four more packs on the way. Those who only availed of the "Intro Pack" will need to purchase "Episode 2" separately, or they can buy into the "Upgrade Pack" to access the new multi-part installment, as well as future episodes.
