It is confirmed that the first season of the new "Hitman" game will come to a close this month.

In the announcement posted on the official website, it is revealed that the final episode in the multi-part release of "Hitman" will take Agent 47 to Japan. Dubbed as "Episode 6: Hokkaido," the season finale will go live on Oct. 31. The post also confirmed that the entire mission episode is titled "Situs Inversus," and it will take place on the exclusive GAMA private hospital and resort. Developer IO Interactive described the new map as a "secluded facility is a fusion of Japanese beauty and cutting-edge technology, featuring its own Zen gardens, organic sushi restaurant and traditional Japanese hot spring." As a roped-in location, the new map has its fair share of escorts and guards.

It is also revealed that as the final map for season 1, the new Hokkaido location will come with post-launch events like Escalation Contracts, Elusive Targets, and Featured Contracts. This means that even if the location is the final map in the current "Hitman" run, players will still be able to unlock in-game bonuses like weapons, gears, and disguises that they can use in other previous episodes should they want to go back.

Meanwhile, though not directly confirming it, IO Interactive has teased that there will be more surprises for fans in the continuation of "Hitman." Studio head Hannes Seifert said: "Together we've built and run the biggest and most replayable locations of any Hitman game and added new live content every single week since launch. And although we're now completing season one, this is only the beginning for our ever expanding World of Assassination."

For PlayStation 4 players, though, there will be an extra mission even after the season finale. The exclusive "The Saravejo Six" has been previously confirmed by the developer for the current-generation Sony console.
