When it comes to amazing trilogies, one franchise you have probably heard of is "Holy Potatoes," a wacky, potato-themed simulation series from game developer Daylight Studios that easily went up the ranks as an enjoyable and humorous bundle filled with sentient potato characters.

And most recently, in order to conquer more platforms, the game's publisher, Rising Star Games, in collaboration with Daylight studios confirmed that the series' three lovable titles will be arriving on the Nintendo Switch console at different intervals this year.

First up on the list is "Holy Potatoes! A Weapon Shop?!" -- a blacksmith simulator that will see players manage miniature potato smiths who forge weapons for heroes. The game will be the first title in the trilogy to drop to the Switch this spring.

Before the jump, the game has been overhauled for its journey toward Nintendo's latest consoles. Various settings have been adjusted, especially the user-interface that has been aligned to better suit the game platform.

Aside from this, players will be treated to a lot of new additions starting with new weapons and new heroes to sell weapons to.

The next game to drop will be "Holy Potatoes! We're in Space?!," however, this time around, as the name suggests, users will manage their own spaceship full of astro-potato men.

Here, players will have to explore the vegetable-themed universe in order to sell their handcrafted weapons. On top of this, they will get to battle it out in a new turn-based feature, which pits potato against potato. It will see a release on the platform sometime this summer.

And last but not the least is "Holy Potatoes! What the Hell?!," which will see a release window in fall. Just like in the previous versions, players will still be managing a horde of sentient potato beings but this time around it will be set in hell.

In this installment, players will be taking the role of a chef whose job is to sort out the potatoes and turn them into magnificent recipes worthy of praise, which afterward will be presented as a gift to appease the gods.

Currently, the trilogy is available on the PC platform and can be purchased through Steam.

In other news, the game's publisher and developer are also targeting a release for the PlayStation 4 console, which will coincide with the game's scheduled release on the Switch console.
