'Homeland' season 5 spoilers, plot update: Carrie to urge Quinn to stay with her in Berlin

Showtime

Carrie Mathison (Claire Danes) may have found a new man in her life after deciding to move to Berlin to start anew in "Homeland" season 5, but a new behind-the-scene video shows that she and Peter Quinn (Rupert Friend) will still find their way back into each other's arms, literally.

Just like what fans of the show saw in the first trailer of season 5, the new video shows Carrie supporting a seriously wounded Quinn as they walk toward a medical facility.

She says, "Come on, stay with me."

However, the video does not reveal if Carrie's invitation to Quinn means that she wants him to stay in her life, or if she is just merely offering help to an old friend.

The season finale of "Homeland" season 4 did not end well for the almost-couple despite sharing their first passionate kiss together. Carrie second-guessed her ability to start a relationship with her former colleague, especially since she was dealing with the death of her father, her mother Emily's (Victoria Clark) sudden reappearance almost two decades after she left them, and the uncertainty of raising her daughter.

Quinn decided to join the highly dangerous CIA mission to Syria without saying goodbye to Carrie, and she decided to leave the agency after finding out that Saul Berenson (Mandy Patinkin) betrayed the CIA when he agreed to remove the terrorist Haqqani off their terrorist list. They never saw each other again ever since.

Will Carrie and Quinn still have another chance to be together when "Homeland" returns for season 5?

Meanwhile, Carrie was also seen confronting her former mentor Saul in the trailer that was earlier released by Showtime.

"You're being naive and stupid... something you never were before," Saul tells Carrie.

"I'm not atoning... I'm just trying to do good work," the former CIA agent replies.

But based on the events seen in the trailer, Carrie might have a hard time staying away from the CIA.

"Homeland" season 5 will premiere on Oct. 4.
