Viewers will see an unrecognizable Peter Quinn (Rupert Friend) as he turns violent on Carrie Mathison (Claire Danes) in the upcoming episode of the Showtime series "Homeland."

In "Why is this Night Different?" Cartermatt reports that Carrie's former lover is intent on torturing her, reportedly as per Saul Berenson's (Mandy Patinkin) order. In the promo released by the network, Quinn appears to have hit rock bottom completely, as he torments Carrie. Is she really his next target? If she is, will he really have the courage to kill her, after all that they have been through in the past?

Last episode, Quinn appeared to be tracking down his next victim whose identity was not disclosed until the last minute. The International Business Times reports that he began his hunt by tailing a German woman and then kidnapping her son. The boy turned out to be Jonas' (Alexander Fehling), Carrie's boyfriend, offspring. Quinn told him that he was under arrest for shoplifting.

When the mother contacted Jonas about what happened, Quinn traced his burner phone to locate Carrie. He then let go of the boy and went full steam towards her. Jonas learned that the police had no record of his son being arrested and told Carrie the situation. She immediately realized that it was a trap and urged Jonas to run. Jonas became upset after he realized that his son had been used due to her.

As Carrie ran for the woods, a car could be seen pulling up in her driveway. She immediately shot the hooded figure when he got close enough, not even knowing who it was. It was Quinn and although he was wounded, he attacked Carrie and managed to sedate her. What is Quinn's true plan for Carrie? Did Saul finally snap and ordered her death? He was certainly pissed when Otto Düring (Sebastian Koch) refused to divulge where she was. Should Carrie fear for her life?

"Homeland" airs Sundays at 9 p.m. EST on Showtime.
