There's just a few months left on the 2015 calendar, and new cars are on their way to hitting the roads. This time around, motorists can look forward to the arrivals of the Honda Civic 2016 and the Toyota Prius 2016, and also see which one might be the right car for them.

Starting off with the engines of the respective vehicles, the Honda Civic 2016 is expected to feature two different engines. The first will be a 2.0-liter, four-cylinder engine that also features Honda's i-VTEC variable valve timing system, according to Digital Trends. The first engine will also either have a continuously variable transmission (CVT) automatic option or a six-speed manual, depending upon the driver. The other choice, which is also the optional one, is a 1.5-liter turbo-charged engine. Choosing this option leaves drivers only with the automatic option.

As for the Toyota Prius 2016, it will reportedly feature a 1.8-liter internal combustion, Atkinson-cycle engine, according to Green Car Reports. What's interesting about this engine, at least according to Toyota, is that it presents 40 percent better thermal efficiency when pressed to work under certain conditions, and that could make the car particularly useful during those times.

In terms of the additional features that have been tacked onto the cars, drivers will also have to be discerning of those as there have been quite a few made.

For instance, the new Honda Civic is being outfitted with quite a few technological additions promising to make it an even better automobile. The addition of a new Display Audio System as well as other entertainment features such as Android Auto and Apple CarPlay should help provide motorists with an even more enjoyable experience while they are on the road.

As for the new Toyota Prius, the upcoming releases will reportedly be outfitted with electric all-wheel drive. The new feature hopes to grant better control over the car and an improved driving experience as well.

Both the Honda Civic 2016 and the Toyota Prius 2016 are shaping up to be interesting choices, and now it's up to motorists to decide which one is more suited to them.
