The reviews are out for the new historical drama movie "Hostiles," which received good feedback from critics who generally praised the adventure-drama for its great storytelling and outstanding performances by main protagonists Christian Bale and Rosamund Pike.

The story is about legendary Army Captain Joseph J. Blocker (Bale) and his journey to escort a dying Cheyenne war chief, by the name of Yellow Hawk (Wes Studi), back to the latter's tribal lands. At first, the soldier refuses to grant the dying chief's request, but he later has a change of heart when he hears the Native American's touching plea to see his family again.

The unlikely friends travel across the hostile land and are joined by Rosalie Quaid (Pike), whose family was murdered on the plains. Together, they fend off the Comanche and other vicious outliers that they encounter along the way.

"Hostiles" is set to premiere on Friday, Jan. 26, in theaters across the nation.
