Netflix's "House of Cards" resumes production with new A-list additions, a few months after firing Kevin Spacey over sexual harassment allegations.

Diane Lane and Greg Kinnear are now on board the drama series, which resumed production on Wednesday, Jan. 31. After recent controversies surrounding the drama, Netflix said this last season would also be the shortest for "House of Cards."

Previously led by Spacey's character, Frank Underwood, the sixth season will focus on Robin Wright's Claire Underwood.

It is yet unclear how Lane and Kinnear will add to the controversies in the Netflix drama. The only available information for now is that they would be siblings in the series.

Excluding Spacey, most regular acts will be returning for the series finale -- with Wright, Michael Kelly (Doug Stamper), Jayne Atkinson (Catherine Durant), Patricia Clarkson (Jane Davis), Constance Zimmer (Janine Skorsky), Derek Cecil (Seth Grayson), Campbell Scott (Mark Usher), and Boris McGiver (Tom Hammerschmidt) all reprising their roles.

The pair should fit right in at the multiple Emmy award-winning series -- with seven victories and 53 nominations in the past five seasons. Lane boasts multiple nominations for Academy Awards, Golden Globes, and Screen Actors Guild Awards with movies "Under the Tuscan Sun" and "Unfaithful." The same prestige goes for Kinnear, who starred in iconic movies such as "Little Miss Sunshine" and "You've Got Mail."

Spacey was fired from "House of Cards" in light of the #metoo movement, which pushed actor Anthony Rapp to reveal that he was sexually assaulted by the Spacey when he was just 14 years old.

The 58-year-old actor then tried to deflect the issue by coming out as gay. His effort was wasted, however, when over 30 other individuals moved forward to give their own complaints against Spacey.

In the end, "House of Cards" had to shut down productions to re-think the future of the show. Spacey was also later recast in the movie "All the Money in the World."
