Fans of Netflix Web-series "House of Cards" gobbled up all 13 episodes from the newest season of the hit drama television series and ended up clamoring for more. Many viewers, if not all, are certainly guilty of binge-watching the entire season, wide-eyed as they wolfed down in one sitting all of Frank Underwood's business upon his acquisition of the most powerful seat in the United States. Fans also witnessed the factors that confronted Claire and Frank's marriage and felt the fear of the couple going their separate ways. 

With season 3 out of the way, fans move on to figuring out what will happen next in the fourth season of "House of Cards." Viewers think that a new season will be more of a requirement than a windfall simply for the reason that season 3 of the series felt much like a setup to much more intense happenings in the series. 

As much as fans desire for a whole new season merely days after it debuted, they will have to face the possibility that season 4 of "House of Cards" would tie everything up. International Business Times reasons that the number of episodes is based on the number of cards in a deck, so that's 52. "House of Cards" already covered 39 episodes, 13 for each season. One more run with 13 episodes and all 52 cards will be unturned. 

This, of course, is just a theory about the future of "House of Cards," and it remains to be one that creator Beau Willmon is keeping his lips tight about.  

"Well, I appreciate the numerology," Willmon said in answer to a question involving the show's season during a Google+ hangout. "We haven't even announced a fourth season, so when it comes to how many seasons of 'House of Cards' there may or may not be." 

Quoting Francis Underwood, the creator of the series said, "You might very well ask that; I couldn't possibly comment."
