'House of Cards' season 3 spoilers: Claire gives Frank the cold shoulder

Just recently, Netflix accidentally released 10 episodes of season 3 of "House of Cards." The online streaming site immediately took them down after realizing the glitch but expectedly, many have managed to feast on the early release of the much-awaited series. Those who managed to stream them are said to be able to continue watching despite the episodes having been pulled out. So the wait is over for those who managed to do so during the 25-minute glitch. "House of Cards," via their Twitter account, implored those lucky ones not to spoil the suspense for others who have yet to see how presidency turns out for Frank Underwood.

The new season for the political drama Web series is scheduled to premiere on Feb. 27. Netflix is sticking with this. In fact, a new trailer for the series is now up. The 30-second footage shows the once amorous couple — President of the United States, Frank Underwood, and his First Lady Claire — not so loving anymore, heavily hinting the thickening tension between the two.

As the President puts his hand on his wife's shoulder for the official White House portrait, he feels Claire balk. Her icy reaction prompts Underwood to remove his hand and ask if Claire prefers him not to touch her. Although the tension is filling up the room and it is crystal clear to Underwood how his wife "flinched" and "recoiled" (her rigid smile is not helping either), Claire acts as if nothing happened.

Season 3 of "House of Cards" will see the two more as world political leaders and less as a couple. Previously, there were rumors that Underwood is close to meeting his doom and his death will be under the orders of his own wife. This is at least what transpired in the original British series from which the drama is adapted. It is unclear though whether Kevin Spacey's character will share the same fate or if Netflix will go down that route although Claire's cold shoulder definitely means something.

All 13 episodes of "House of Cards" season 3 can be accessed through Netflix starting Feb. 27.
