Netflix's political drama series "House of Cards" is set to premiere next year, but a specific release date has yet to be announced.

The latest news surrounding the TV series is that Kevin Spacey, who plays Frank, recently appeared in an interview with Stephen Colbert and revealed that he is talking to presidential hopeful Donald Trump, Venture Capital Post reported.

When Colbert asked the actor about who he's talking to when he's facing the camera, Spacey replied that he's talking to no one else but Donald Trump.

Of course, the actor was just kidding, but set that aside, fans should already consider the news about the release date a good one.

It is expected that the show will premiere sometime in February next year. It's also a good thing to note that production has already begun, as reported in Inquisitr.

Last month, Fulton News reported that "House of Cards" production team was spotted in Hartford Community College.

But fans should not get all too excited because the college did not leak any information regarding the filming of the scenes.

That means season 4 details continue to be kept a big secret, which is only right so as not to spoil the show.

Apart from the college, the production crew members were also spotted at nearby areas, including APG Federal Credit Union and Chesapeake Center.

So far, what's known about the show's fourth season is that it will feature a presidential election.

The Underwoods will not only face a power-hungry, younger rivals but will also deal with old enemies making a comeback, Crossmap reported.

While season 4 saw Claire (Robin Wright) and Frank go their separate ways, reports have it that the two will work together to get to the top once again.

There was also a report that Doug Stamper (Michael Kelly) will face his death in season 4.
