Houston Rockets star James Harden spent time with their new point guard Ty Lawson this offseason; and he said that their acquisition is more focused now following the issues he faced off the hardcourt.

Last July, for the second time this 2015, Lawson was arrested for driving under the influence (DUI) and the court ordered him to undergo a 30-day rehabilitation. 

In the same month, he was also traded by the Denver Nuggets to the Houston Rockets, who in the second half of the 2014-15 regular season and the playoffs did not have a major point guard following an injury sustained by Patrick Beverly. 

In a report by the Houston Chronicle, Harden spoke about Lawson being a great addition to the team and why he believes the issues he had before will not be repeated with the Rockets. 

According to Harden, Lawson has the quickness, speed, and the playmaking ability which the team did not have during their playoff campaign last season. 

Harden added that they are welcoming Lawson with open arms and are very happy that he will be with them. 

The 25-year-old basketball star also shared that he saw a much focused Lawson when he spent time with him in the past few weeks. 

"I've been with him these last couple weeks. He's more focused than ever. He has a great opportunity with a really good team to showcase his talents and help us with that push that we need," Harden said, according to Houston Chronicle.

The three-time NBA All-Star was at his basketball camp Saturday to cap off a busy week. 

Earlier last week, Harden participated in the USA Basketball minicamp in Las Vegas together with fellow NBA stars who are aiming to be part of the 12-man roster that will compete for Team USA at the 2016 Rio Olympics. 

Then Harden signed a $200 million deal with Adidas which will be for 13 years, according to reports, after Nike refused to match the offer.
