All eyes will be on Ty Lawson when he suits up for the Houston Rockets this coming NBA season. However it seems that the real question to ask is when he will be able to show up seeing that the veteran guard is having his share of battles outside basketball.

The most recent of course is his arrest for another DUI charge, one of multiple times that Lawson has been arrested for the same offense.

For his latest DUI charge, Lawson has been ordered to undergo a 30-day rehab and was also ordered to wear an alcohol-monitoring device once he is through with rehab.

Lawson has made it known that he is determined to find of his alcoholism problem, something that has gotten him into trouble plenty of times. In fact the president of his former team, Josh Kroenke, bared that he could smell the alcohol on Lawson's breath during practices.

And now it will be the Rockets turn to watch the back of Lawson and it looks like the team will be behind him through these rough times.

"He's had some very serious incidents in his past and in his recent past. We feel like he's part of the Rockets family now and through our conversations with him we feel confident he's getting the help he needs and he's taken that step to say this is something he needs to do is improve on those areas," said Rockets general manager Daryl Morey via ESPN.

Proof of Lawson's intent to clean up his act can be seen on the appended terms of his contract with Houston. By 2016-17, Lawson is due to receive $13.2 million. That amount was initially guaranteed by Lawson decided to make it non-guaranteed to prove to himself and perhaps the Rockets that he deserves to be paid that sum.

The initiative from Lawson seems sincere and hopefully he can pull through. If not, he may just find himself in the dumps next season and most likely with fewer teams showing interest if he fails to kick the habit.
