The 6-5 Houston Texans are looking for a fifth straight win in today's game as they make their charge for the postseason berths.

The Texans impressive recent run has been built on the back of a solid defensive display, where they have allowed just an average of 8.8 points and 250.5 total yards over their last four games. In the period since Week 8 that ranks the Texans first in the entire league in those two areas.

Last week the Texans defense shut down New Orleans which allowed them to claim a solid 24-6 victory, and that win saw Houston become the first team to stop the Saints getting a touchdown in the last 10 years.

Coach Bill O'Brien has said, "How good do they want to be? I think you have to challenge them. Is that good enough? There were still some plays that we gave up. They played a heck of a football game, don't get me wrong. We're very pleased with how the defense is playing, but you can never be satisfied. As soon as you kind of get satisfied or you're resting on your laurels ... you're going to get beat."

Earlier this week, NFL Thursday Night Football saw the Green Bay Packers take on the Detroit Lions, and although it looked like the Lions had the game in the bag, a spectacular comeback in the second half by the Packers saw them take the spoils to move to 8-4.

Green Bay went in at the half way point without a point on the board and were behind by 17. But whatever they drank at halftime seemed to do the trick, as they came back out and piled on the points winning the third quarter 14-3 to pull the score back to 14-20. They then completed their comeback in the final quarter, scoring another 13 points with the Lions offense shut down and only able to score another three to leave the final score at 27-23.

The game winning play came in dramatic style, with Aaron Rodgers throwing a 61 yard touchdown to Richard Rodgers with no time left on the clock.

The result will be a relief for the Packers, who had lost four of their last five, and will be setback for the Lions, who had won three straight games coming into the game. They will be hugely disappointed to have missed out on the chance to sweep the series for the first time since 1991.

Anytime a team loses a 20 point lead it is a huge blow, but the nature of the loss and the opposition will make the defeat that much worse for Detroit.

The Packers left it late to make their charge, only scoring their first points with just 5.44 on the clock in the third quarter. But once they got into their rhythm there was no stopping them.

On the final play, the only reason the Packers had their final chance was because Devin Taylor grabbed Aaron Rodgers facemark. If he had not done that then the game would have been over, but because of that foul, Green Bay were given another chance, and Aaron Rodgers didn't need to be told twice. He launched a massive 61 yard Hail Mary pass, which came off to leave the Detroit fans stunned and the Packers fans in ecstasy.

Rodgers admitted after the game: "I've never had a completed Hail Mary before."

Rodgers finished the game with 26 of 36 for 289 yards and two touchdowns, compared to Matthew Stafford's 23 of 35 for 220 yards and two touchdowns.
