Houston Texans vs Detroit Lions live stream (Fox): Watch NFL football 2016 online

The Houston Texans will host the Detroit Lions on Sunday as they look to build upon their hopeful start to the season. This week 8 clash takes place from the NRG Stadium in Houston, Texas, and has a scheduled start time of 1 p.m. ET. The game can be watched on TV on the Fox network or online through live stream via the link below.

The Detroit Lions are on 4-3 and will be looking to overturn the Green Bay Packers for second spot in the NFC North. The Packers are 4-2, but both teams are trying desperately to keep up with the 5-1 Minnesota Vikings who sit at the top of the division.

The Lions will be hoping not to drop back to an even record today, but they will have their hands full with a Houston Texans team that is currently top of the AFC South.

The Texans have done a lot of things right in the opening seven weeks of the regular season, but they could easily let it all go to waste if they are not careful in the coming month. They are 4-3, but are being chased by the 4-4 Tennessee Titans as well as the 3-4 Indianapolis Colts.

If they drop back to 4-4 today they will surely feel a lot of their hard work early on this season has gone to waste and that would be demoralizing. They will see this home game as almost a must win scenario, and if they can move up to 5-3 they will feel much more comfortable with how things stand in the AFC south at the half way point in the season.

Earlier in Week 8, NFL Thursday Night Football saw the Jacksonville Jaguars go on the road to take on the Tennessee Titans.

The game looked like it could have been close on paper, but things were all but over by half time as the Titans stormed into a massive 27-0 lead.

Although the Jaguars fought back in the second half and made the scoreline less embarrassing, things still ended 36-22 in the Titan favor, and that result lifted them to 4-4.

That means the Titans remain very much relevant to how the season turns out, and if they can continue pushing things in the second half of the season they could end up as a surprise package in the postseason.

Meanwhile for the Jaguars, it looks like their season is all but over as they dropped to 2-5, and it is unlikely they can comeback from there to compete for the Playoff slots.
