The Houston Texans know if they can have another few good weeks they can claim the AFC South title and secure their spot in the Playoffs early. It might be tough for them to push for a top seedings placement now, as the Oakland Raiders and the New England Patriots are flying high. But that may be their goal for their final four games.

The 6-4 Texans are currently sitting in the third seed spot, which would dump them into the Wild Card Round. The Raiders and the Patriots are both on 8-2, which grants them the 1st and 2nd seed placings respectively at the moment.

The Texans will know if they can win out the season from there they would have a chance at overturning one of those teams to steal a top two seeding spot and a bye for the First Round of the Playoffs.

Winning the season out may not seem too much to ask for though. If they can claim the win against a struggling Chargers side today, they then have two road games before ending the season at home to the Jacksonville Jaguars - a team they should be able to defeat if they play to their potential.

So the road games may make or break their chances to rise up into the top seeding spots.

The Texans will first go on the road to the Green Bay Packers. Aa difficult prospect, but the Packers have been very inconsistent this season and their troubles will give the Texans the belief that they are there for the taking.

If the Texans can get through the Chargers and the Packers, then they will face the Indianapolis Colts - yet another team that has struggled at points this season, and so a very winnable game for Houston.

Of course, even if they can win through all four of those games, they will need one of the Raiders or Patriots to stumble at least twice more before the season is out, and neither of those teams will be looking to be in a charitable mood. In addition to that, they will likely need the Denver Broncos and Kansas City Chiefs to have some slip ups too, as at the moment, it is highly likely that the winner of the hugely competitive AFC West will take a top seeding spot, as all the teams - barring the San Diego Chargers - have better records than the Texans.

Regardless, the Texans can only do what they can control, and that starts off today with a win against the Chargers.
