Fans of the hit ABC series "How to Get Away With Murder" will be happy to learn that the cliffhangers left at the fall finale will soon be cleared. ABC has announced that the show will return on Feb. 11, 2016.

For its midseason premiere, it is expected that answers will come pouring in regarding Annalise (Viola Davis) and her Keating Five. Showrunner Pete Nowalk told The Hollywood Reporter that much of the focus for the first episode of 2016 will be on the aftermath of Annalise's shooting in the finale. He let slip that when the series returns, it will be two weeks after the fatal incident. Nowalk also talked about Asher's (Matt McGorry) involvement with the group going forward in the season.

According to him, Asher will now be part of the murder crew, especially after learning of Sam's (Tom Verica) death. Annalise's husband was having an affair when he was killed. Wes smashed his head with a trophy to save Rebecca (Katie Findlay). She was Wes' girlfriend who was suspected of murdering Lila (Megan West), Sam's paramour. Sam had been strangling her when Wes arrived and the latter did what he had to do to prevent him from killing her.

To dispose the body, the Keating Five, except Asher, burned it to remove any trace of DNA. They butchered the corpse and put the pieces into trash bags. Later on, the police found Sam's remains at a landfill. Asher was not privy to the secret until the end of the first part of the season. Now that he knows that his friends killed Sam, he has difficulty coming to terms with the truth.

"Out of all of them he is the least equipped emotionally and psychologically to handle this in an OK manner," Nowalk said.

The executive producer said that it would be fun to see how the dynamics of the group have changed over the course of two weeks. He's also uncertain about who among them would be able to get by after the incident. For Wes, moving on would be difficult after he shot Annalise out of hate. Nowalk said Wes' world has changed permanently after he tried to kill her.

"It makes him reassess everything. Wes had a picture and a story of what his past was, and now that Annalise knows what his name used to be and what was going on, he's going to have to question his entire life," he said.

"How to Get Away With Murder" will return on February 11, 2016 at 10 p.m. EST on ABC.
