It looks like Annalise' (Viola Davis) stomach wound is more fatal than what viewers are expecting, as the new promo for the second half of season 2 of the hit ABC series "How To Get Away With Murder" shows her flatlining in the hospital.

During the midseason finale, the lawyer asked the Keating Five to shoot her to divert the police's attention from the gruesome murder of Emily (Sarah Burns). Annalise discovered that Asher (Matt McGorry) was the murderer. To save him, she thought of a plan wherein Catherine (Amy Okuda) would take the blame. She also asked the youngsters to shoot her in the leg and make it look like Catherine shot her as well. None of the Keating Five wanted to do the deed, until Annalise told Wes (Alfred Enoch) that the girlfriend he has been looking for was already dead.

Wes was so overcame with rage that he shot her, not in the leg, but in the stomach. Season 2B is expected to show what happens to Annalise after and how Wes and his friends will be dealing with this new predicament. The Thank God It's Thursday (TGIT) promo already shows her lying in the hospital bed, recuperating. Entertainment Weekly is quick to mention, however, that at one point, Annalise appears to flatline, as the machine monitoring the patient beeps alarmingly. The clip also shows Laurel (Karla Souza), standing transfixed beside the door, as well as glimpses of the Keating Five looking grave.

It is important to note, though, that Annalise is up and about in the rest of the teaser. At one point, she is seen standing on her porch holding a baby, yelling, "I can't!" Another instance reveals Nate (Billy Brown) asking Annalise if she wants to die. Does this mean she managed to survive her harrowing ordeal in the end?

Meanwhile, Enoch told Variety that viewers could expect a lot more complications in season 2B, particularly with his character and Davis'. According to the actor, Wes was very much hurt by Annalise's betrayal because he never truly believed she was capable of lying to him for that long.

"It's a very complicated relationship because to some degree, he knows he can't trust her, but I don't think he would have ever suspected that — even though he's been suspecting her throughout all the season," he said.

"How to Get Away With Murder" season 2 will return on Thursday, Feb. 11, at 10 p.m. EST on ABC.
