It's 2016, which means "How to Get Away with Murder" season 2B is one step closer from premiering. Fans are undoubtedly feeling antsy, especially after that wild and shocking midseason finale.

Some fans, of course, are sitting tight and waiting for the premiere like well-behaved children. But for those who are not as patient, here are a few spoilers to help quench that insatiable thirst for season 2 (and perhaps season 3) details.

Fans may recall that the midseason finale finally showed ADA Emily Sinclair's (Sarah Burns) death. It was previously teased in a flashforward in an earlier season 2 episode. The ADA was run over and then her body was tossed from a high roof to make it look as if she had taken her own life.

With another death on their hands, it's no wonder fans are eager to find out what the back half of season 2 will bring. The rest of season 2 will highlight the investigation into Sinclair's death. Since she's an enforcer of the law, it's no doubt that her case will attract a lot of attention.

"There will be forensic experts all up in there. Sinclair was an ADA, so she's a high-profile victim," said showrunner Pete Nowalk to TVLine. "Still, what I've learned from real law-enforcement people who talk to us is that forensic science is actually very much up to interpretation. Annalise, as a defense attorney, knows that creating a mess [at the scene] is the best strategy. But whether it works or not, we'll find out very quickly [when the show returns Feb. 11]."

But that's not all. Apparently, according to the same website, the rest of season 2 will also introduce three new characters: rich couple George and Beverly Mahoney and their son, Charles, who hails from an Ivy-League school. No information was revealed as to who will be portraying these characters, but it's possible that they might continue as recurring characters in season 3.

As for who they are and how they're related to Annalise (Viola Davis) and her posse, nothing is certain.

"How to Get Away with Murder" season 2 will be back on Feb. 11 on ABC.
