'How to Get Away With Murder' season 2 spoilers: Who killed Rebecca?

How to Get Away With Murder

Who killed Rebecca Sutter (Katie Findlay)? Fans of the new hit TV show "How to Get Away with Murder" won't have to wait long for the answer because season 2 has just been announced and a resolution to last season's cliffhanger is bound to unravel in its first few episodes.

According to a report cited by the International Business Times, a second season for the show was greenlit. This is unusual for ABC since the network is known for releasing all official announcements in May. But now that the season has been confirmed, fans and critics have been speculating on who killed Rebecca, a character who was shown dead in the closing minutes of the finale.

A poll over at Entertainment Weekly suggests Wes Gibbins (Alfred Enoch), who was Rebecca's love interest. Perhaps he killed her when he was convinced she was responsible for Lila Stangard's (Megan West) demise, never learning that it was Frank's doing all along.

A lot of attention has also been directed toward Frank (Charlie Weber) because of the sudden revelation that he was responsible for the death of Lila. It is a little bit too obvious, which is why many fans speculate the culprit could be someone else.

Others think that Annalise (Viola Davis) may have been responsible. However, Davis was recently interviewed on "Jimmy Kimmel Live" and confirmed that there was an alternative finale the producers didn't use. This version of the episode shows her character discovering Rebecca's body, eliminating her from the list of suspects.

Pete Nowalk, co-creator of the show with Shonda Rhimes, told Entertainment Weekly, "There's a way that they can find out the truth — in fact, someone's still living that knows the truth. That will be the fun mystery for next season is if they're going to figure that out and how that then affects them."
