Grammy Award-winning singer Mary J. Blige will appear in an episode of "How to Get Away with Murder" season 3.

Deadline revealed that the "No More Drama" singer-actress has been tapped to join Viola Davis and the rest of the cast members of the mystery legal drama's third season. But details about her role remains scarce.

Blige's acting credits include a guest appearance in "Ghost Whisperer," "Entourage," and "Empire."

Meanwhile, Davis hinted at what fans should look forward to when "How to Get Away with Murder" season 3. According to the lead star who portrays the role of fierce criminal lawyer/professor Annalise Keating, series creator Peter Nowalk will come up with a new mystery in the upcoming season that will unfold immediately in the premiere episode.

The actress also revealed that the new mystery will be harder to solve compared to the past two seasons. "I mean, last year we could figure it out; we actually did. We got together and figured it out. This year we're totally stumped. But with that new mystery, he explores the relationships in a much deeper way," she stated in a separate interview with Deadline.

Davis also mentioned that aside from dealing with the Keating Five, she will also encounter a major problem with the rest of the Middleton University student body. This can be proved in the trailer released by ABC, showing that the feared professor becomes involved in a major scandal in campus after an anonymous person posted her photo with the word "KILLER."

Also, Davis revealed that Annalise and her team will deal with a lot of pro bono cases this season. "All of it will be solved within the season–a lot of questions will be answered," she also said.

"How to Get Away with Murder" season 3 will premiere on Thursday, Sept. 22.
