It seems like "How to Get Away with Murder" fans will get to know more about Connor Walsh (Jack Falahee) and Oliver Hampton's (Conrad Ricamora) twisted relationship when the show returns for season 3.

TVLine exclusively revealed that Ricamora was promoted to become a series regular for season 3. This means that Connor's IT expert boyfriend, also known as the reliable hacker for the "Keating 5," will have a bigger role to fill in the upcoming season.

During the penultimate episode of season 2, Oliver decided to quit his job as an IT specialist so he can devote more time to helping the cases handled by Connor and his classmates under their professor Annalise Keating (Viola Davis).

But in the second season finale, Oliver decided to interfere with Connor's chance to transfer to Stanford by deleting the acceptance letter in his email and mimicking his voice to call the law school's Dean of Admission to tell them not to bother him again.

This could cause trouble between him and Connor, who was looking forward to being accepted to the prestigious law school and starting a new life away from Keating.

"[Oliver] has a new lease on life... not only meeting Connor, but also his [HIV-positive] diagnosis," showrunner Pete Nowalk stated. "All of it has made him look at his life and say, 'What do I really want?' He wants a little bit more excitement. He wants to feel passionate about his job. He doesn't want to be bored."

Meanwhile, Nowalk also revealed that the mystery of Wallace Mahoney's (Adam Arkin) death will be a central theme in "How to Get Away with Murder" season 3. But he is still unsure how far along in the season the answer to the mystery will unfold. "There are two options for me — it's either in the first minute in the show, or that's a longer mystery because it's a more complicated story," the showrunner revealed to Variety.

"How to Get Away with Murder" season 3 is expected to come out later this year.
