The "How to Get Away With Murder" family has just grown by one. "Underground" star Amirah Vann has recently signed on for a recurring role in the current fourth season of the ABC drama.

However, as with any Shonda Rhimes-made series, Deadline reported that details about her mysterious role are still being kept under tight wraps. The actress joins two other recent cast additions: Viola Davis' real-life husband, Julius Tennon, and "NYPD Blue" alum Jimmy Smits.

Tennon guest starred in the season 4 premiere as Desmond, a man whom Annalise (Viola Davis) met on a plane who took a liking to her. Smits, on the other hand, portrays Annalise's therapist, Isaac, who seems to have an integral role in the lawyer and Laurel's (Karla Souza) life.

The flash forward at the end of the second episode picked up right where it left off in episode 1. Laurel was still sobbing about her baby while Frank (Charlie Weber) comforted her. This time, Isaac went out to the hallway to call Annalise but, she was not picking up. A later scene showed that something happened to her and that she was nowhere to be found.

Romper recalled that there were police scattered in her hotel room, searching the scene. They found a gun whose owner is yet to be revealed. There was blood on the floor and the wall of the nearest elevator as well.

It is the first episode to feature blood. Executive Producer Pete Nowalk previously explained that "murder" did not happen in the premiere, but it does not mean it did not happen at all.

"You didn't see a murder, but anything could've happened in that flash forward," he told Entertainment Weekly. "There will be more bloodshed and tragedy."

"How to Get Away with Murder" has just started the season, so it is still unclear what really happened to Annalise. But if the previous seasons are any indication, it will likely be intertwined with every single one of the characters. Fans will have to tune in to find out.

"How to Get Away with Murder" season 4 airs Thursdays, at 10 p.m. EDT on ABC.
