The highly anticipated "How to Get Away with Murder" and "Scandal" crossover is happening, and now fans not only have a date to mark on their calendars, they finally have their first exciting look at it as well.

Entertainment Weekly revealed a photo from the crossover event, teasing a tense meet-up between Shondaland alpha females, Olivia Pope (Kerry Washington) and Annalise Keating (Viola Davis). The two are seen entering a conference room, impeccably dressed with designer handbags and professional folders in tow, which suggests they both mean business, as usual.

The publication says showrunners are tight-lipped about how and what brings the two together, but a popular theory posits it could be related to Annalise's wrongful convictions class action lawsuit against the state of Pennsylvania. In all likelihood, the president's chief of staff may lend a hand in saving the attorney's reputation. Regardless of the case, their meeting promises to be unforgettable.

"It was black girl magic on steroids," Davis said of the crossover. "Me and Kerry dancing to 'Rock the Boat'? Hey, it can't get any better."

The much hyped "How to Get Away with Murder" and "Scandal" crossover is set to air on Thursday, March 1. The two-hour event starts at 9 p.m. EST, when Annalise turns up on "Scandal" and continues the following hour with Olivia's appearance in the episode of "How to Get Away with Murder."

Davis and Washington's characters were confirmed to finally meet on screen earlier this month. Both of them teased the event with behind-the-scene photos of themselves on the set of each other's shows. As recalled, Davis posed in the presidential Oval office while in Washington on the familiar hall of the courthouse.

The crossover marks the first and the last for "Scandal" as it is set to end in spring. It is not the first one in Shonda-verse, though. Back in the day, Rhimes' OG hit "Grey's Anatomy" also had stars hopping over to the spin-off "Private Practice," and vice versa.
