After months of rumors and leaks, the HTC 10 finally finds its way to the cutthroat world of mobile technology. Its arrival quickly pits it against Samsung's latest releases, the Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge.

Those who are torn between the flagships can use this guide to weigh their options and determine which between the HTC 10 and the Samsung Galaxy S7/S7 Edge will meet their needs.

As far as design goes, HTC 10 looks as sleek as the Galaxy S7 so this is simply a matter of taste. But of course, the Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge is the obvious choice for those who want something out of the ordinary.

HTC 10 has a bigger display (5.2-inch) but the one on Samsung Galaxy S7 (5.1-inch) has marginally richer resolution. The former has 565ppi pixel density while the latter boasts 577ppi.The Galaxy S7 Edge's bigger (5.5-inch) display stretches the resolution to 534ppi. Either way, all three should have stellar visuals.

The HTC 10 and the Samsung Galaxy S7/S7 Edge are both fitted out with Qualcomm Snapdragon 820, although the latter has versions with Exynos 8890, which earns praises from experts and users alike. The Snapdragon unit, however, isn't any less powerful. It's the latest from Qualcomm and its the most sought after for flagships.

Users can go for any of the devices when it comes to RAM and ROM. They all have 4GB RAM and offer 32GB and 64GB storage capacities, which can be expanded up to 200GB with a microSD card. The real competition begins in the imaging department.

HTC isn't the best when it comes to that aspect, which Samsung happens to dominate. However, with the HTC 10's 12MP rear-facing shooter, Droid Life believes that the Taiwan-based tech firm definitely stepped up their game.

Unfortunately for the device, this was not enough to beat out Samsung Galaxy S7's own 12MP shooter, which, as per the site, performed better in the speed and low-light division.

While the HTC 10 fell short just a tad in the aforementioned department, the flagship is definitely the clear winner in the audio territory. HTC always nailed this aspect, thanks to its BoomSound technology, so this is hardly a surprise.

Although the HTC 10 and the Samsung Galaxy S7/S7 Edge are amazing in their own right, it all goes down to how long they will allow users to enjoy their power and features.

While both flagships pack a 3,000mAh battery, Droid Life believes that HTC 10 lasted longer than the Samsung Galaxy S7.

Overall, it can be said that the HTC 10 can definitely give the Samsung Galaxy S7 a run for its money. Those convinced enough to take home HTC's newest mobile offering can pre-order a unit from HTC USA right now or from Verizon starting April 29.
