HTC has been long teasing its upcoming flagship, the HTC 10, but for a long while the company did not provide a specific unveiling date for the new iteration other than saying that the flagship will appear next month. However, the new flagship will roll out sooner than fans expected as it is confirmed that the HTC 10 will have an April 12 launch.

According to CNET, HTC has officially sent out invites for an April 12 event, where the company says it will present the "power of 10." While HTC has yet to directly confirm that the launch is for the upcoming flagship, fans already expect that the HTC 10 will be unveiled at the launch.

The industry follower stated however that instead of the usual stand-alone press event, the launch will be an online event, and the reveal will be done via a streaming presentation. In the event invite sent to Android Police, it is said that the online presentation will start at 8 a.m. EDT, or 8 p.m. in HTC's Taipei base.

The HTC 10 has been a long-awaited device ever since rumors of it surfaced online. If previous speculations on the flagship's specs and design are proven true, the new HTC 10 is one of the flagships to beat for this year.

According to rumors, one of the main features of the new iteration is its camera setup. HTC itself teased that the new HTC 10 will feature a "very, very compelling camera." Based on supposed leaks that continue to float online, the HTC 10 will have a design profile similar to the previous HTC A9. However, being a premium flagship, the upcoming iteration will feature the newest Snapdragon 820 processor paired with 4GB of RAM and USB Type-C connectivity.
