While it is only hours before waiting fans finally see the new HTC 10 flagship, they will need to wait for at least a month more to get their hands on the latest iteration.

According to some new leaks, while launch is all set for today, the HTC 10 will start to ship out starting early May. The leak is part of new details of the HTC launch, as per Android Headlines. Aside from the shipping period, the new leak also details some more interesting information about the upcoming HTC 10.

Reportedly, a number of details of the new flagship's specs under the hood are also confirmed. The list states that the HTC 10 will indeed have a 5.2-inch screen. It is also confirmed that HTC switched from an LCD panel to a Super LCD 5 display for the upcoming flagship as well as a curved-edge Gorilla glass protection. It is unclear if the curved edge display will have an added feature like Samsung's Edge devices, or just part of the new aesthetics of the HTC 10.

The new leak also confirms some previous benchmark listings for HTC 10, particularly with regard to its camera assembly. The camera – particularly the main shooter on the back – has been repeatedly highlighted by HTC as one of the best-selling features of the upcoming iteration. HTC even went head to head with another competitor, releasing a video teaser for the HTC 10's camera right on the date that the Huawei P9 was launched (which also claims to have the better camera).

According to the leak, HTC went back to an UltraPixel setup, featuring a 12MP assembly on the HTC 10. Fans will see for themselves today if indeed the HTC 10 boasts of "world's best-ever camera on a smartphone." It is also said that the HTC 10 also features the first-ever OIS option on its selfie cam on the front.
