This week, HTC built up the hype for its recently launched HTC 10 flagship. However, although the company plans for a global release of the lineup, the HTC 10 will have a modest version of it called the 10 Lifestyle. Allegedly, this version will be the flagship to be released in some regions and not the top-tier HTC 10.

According to GSM Arena, the HTC 10 Lifestyle will be the flagship released in some regions. While the Lifestyle is part of the new HTC 10 flagship lineup, the iteration is basically a watered-down version of the HTC 10. Instead of a Snapdragon 820 processor, the HTC 10 Lifestyle features a Snapdragon 652 chipset. A 4GB RAM option is also not available, as the 10 Lifestyle only carries 3GB of RAM, as well as a single 32GB internal storage version.

The industry follower also stated that with the drastic downgrade in internals, the performance of the HTC 10 Lifestyle also steps down from the top-tier benchmarks of the HTC 10. For instance, while the 10 Lifestyle still has LTE connectivity, it can only go as high as Category 6, as opposed to the base model HTC 10's maximum Cat.9 speed.

Aside from major changes in the internals, the HTC 10 Lifestyle maintains some features and the form factor of the HTC 10. While it's a downgraded version, users will still get the same 12MP UltraPixel 2 shooter on the back, while the front selfie camera still features the same OIS options. The display is also a 5.2-inch Super LCD 5 display with QHD resolution.

Meanwhile, although it has been reported previously that India is one of the regions getting the HTC 10 Lifestyle, recent reports suggest that the Indian fans may get the SD 820-powered version. According to Android Authority, HTC already clarified the issue, saying that "We are pleased to announce that global flagship HTC 10 is coming soon to India. Stay tuned for the announcement and the availability date."
