HTC is speculated to be releasing their next flagship phone, the HTC 11, before the end of 2016 or early next year. According to the rumor mill, the upcoming device is said to carry impressive specs that could face head-on latest handset products from Apple, Samsung, LG, and Sony.

HNGN reported that the alleged HTC 11 will be sporting a 5.5-inch Quad HD, a 2560 x 1440 resolution display screen. The device may also implement a dual-edged screen design similar to the Samsung Galaxy Edge series. It could also arrive with water and dust resistance, which has been a norm for the flagship phones from different manufacturers. Users can then bring them on water-filled activities, or even when taking a shower, without worrying too much about the consequences of the device getting wet.

Top of the line phone models also boast about their camera features, and the company is expected to load its next device with a dual-camera setup, 12 MP and 8 MP. This could then host different assortments at par with a low-end DSLR cameras' optical zoom and effects. The front will then be equipped with an 8 MP selfie cam, according to Yibada. VR headset compatibility, Day Dream, is also not far from being equipped with the new device and audio enhancements, similar to LG smartphones.

Under the hood, the HTC 11 is rumored to be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 830 processor, paired with 6 GB of RAM. Some reports even suggest an 8 GB RAM, with its internal storage giving as much as 256 GB while still having the option to expand it further via a microSD card for another 256 GB maximum space.

Additionally, it could also come with a USB Type-C port for transferring data and charging faster, while its wireless connectivity will include 4G LTE and 4G VoLTE support, Bluetooth, NFC, and dual-band WiFi. It could also arrive with a metal unibody design, chamfered edges, and a Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection for its display.

The HTC 11 is expected to have a $800 price tag.
