The new and improved One M9+ by tech manufacturer HTC is heading for Europe soon. 

When HTC launched the One M9 as its flagship product, many fans were disappointed since the smartphone was evidently just a chip off the old block – HTC did not make that much of a change from its predecessor, the One M8. Although the One M9 did get an upgrade for some of its features, it closely resembles the previous One M version that many fans have decided to wait HTC out before getting a phone upgrade. 

The company immediately went on to fully upgrade the M9 lineup, and the "plus" version was born. At least a league away from its mother versions, the M9+ sports a larger 5.2-inch display with a brighter and detail-oriented 2K screen resolution. In addition, the new M9 version also got an upgrade under the hood, as it now features an upgraded, octa-core MediaTek Helio X10 processor.

Initially, the phone was only available in China, but HTC is now planning on a global release that started with the phone being made available in Taiwan and India earlier this year. 

Recently, HTC announced that the HTC One M9+ is coming to Europe. Although the company has not released final details yet, the planned wider release will be coordinated with different mobile carriers, and the exact release dates will vary from country to country. There is a bit of bad news, though, for those who are HTC fans living in the U.K. – according to tech observer and news site TechRadar, the newer, upgraded version of the M9 will not be made available in U.K. stores. 

Aside from the upgraded display and chipset, the One M9+ also houses a 20-MP Duo camera with 4K-video recording options, a 3 GB RAM, and a fingerprint scanner for a more robust security.
