Rumors have been circulating for months about a new phone from HTC known as the One A9, and now, there are more details available indicating just what prospective buyers can expect to get from it in terms of its specs and features.

First off, the HTC One A9 is expected to come with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 617 processor that is expected to be complemented by 2 GB of RAM.

It is expected to come equipped with a 13-megapixel front-facing camera and then one more at the back at four megapixels. When it comes to its display, it is believed to have a 5.0-inch AMOLED screen.

The HTC One A9 is expected to have 16 GB of available internal storage, although the good news on this front is that users can opt to boost that total further with the addition of a microSD card. By going that route, users can enjoy all the way up to 128 GB of internal storage available along with their phones, according to GSM Arena.

Other notable features of the HTC One A9 include an accelerometer, compass, gyro, and proximity sensors. This new model from HTC is also expected to come with the Android Marshmallow operating system right out of the box.

There are also expected to be several color options available when it comes to the One A9.

Unfortunately for HTC, the One A9 has been garnering criticism for what people have perceived to be more than an accidental resemblance to Apple's popular iPhones.

According to XDA Developers, the rear of the HTC One A9 in particular truly looks a lot like the iPhone.

The company's decision to showcase an aesthetic approach with the One A9 that so closely resembles the iPhone is also being seen as HTC's attempt to lure in more buyers.

HTC's One A9 is expected to be released sometime this fall.
