With the HTC One M9 finally launched, Taiwanese phone maker HTC is rumored to expand its phone lineup with the launch of its One E9 smartphone line. According to upleaks, it is possible that the tech firm could be launching the smartphone in China by the end of March. While rumors can only be confirmed until the last week of March, it is expected that the One E9 will be possessing a QHD resolution (2560 by 1440 pixels) and in the process, will become the first smartphone belonging to the HTC lineup to sport a resolution higher than 1080p.

In addition, the One E9 is also rumored to pack a 5.5 inch screen size, which will end up becoming larger than the One M9 and will possess a phablet sized form factor. There will be several differences between the company's flagship offering and the One E9. Starting off, the One M9 possesses the Qualcomm's Snapdragon 810 SoC but the upcoming device will be equipped with MediaTek's MT6795 chipset.

This particular chip will feature an octa-core processor that will be running a stock clock frequency of 2 GHz. In addition, the processor will also be compatible with the 64 bit architecture and will most likely be running the Android Lollipop 5.0 update 'out of the box'. The remainder of the hardware specifications may include the company's own Sense 7.0 UI, along with 3 GB of RAM, BoomSound speakers and a 32 GB internal memory capacity.

Currently, the rumor does not state whether or not the device will be sporting a microSD slot but since the One M9 allows users to expand their removable storage up to a limit of 128 GB, it is highly unlikely that the company will be rolling out a product that will be void of this feature. Smartphone consumers who are interested in wanting to know additional information will have to wait till the end of March.
