HTC One Hima, one of the most anticipated flagship smartphones of the year, is on its way. Know Your Mobile reported that the successor to the successful HTC One (M8) will be released to the public during the company's media kit that will be held on March 1.

Previously called the HTC One (M9), Hima aims to offer wide improvements on its predecessor's specs. It will also provide several features that the HTC One (M8) failed to introduce.

Early this week, Phone Designer showed concept images of the upcoming product from the Taiwanese company based on leaked information.

According to the rumor mill, the 5.0-inch Super LCD3 capacitive touchscreen display of the device will reportedly feature a 1080 x 1920 pixel resolution with Corning Gorilla Glass 4 protection. HTC fans should also expect to see 16-, 32- and 64-GB storage options. HTC's upcoming smartphone release will also have Qualcomm MSM8994 Snapdragon 810 chipset complete with quad-core 1.5 GHz Cortex-A53 and quad-core 2 GHz Cortex-A57. HTC will also introduce the dual 20.7-megapixel primary shooter with autofocus and dual-LED flash. It will also have a front-facing 4-megapixel secondary shooter, which is perfect for taking one's selfie.

Meanwhile, a rumor was uploaded by mobile device tipster @upleaks saying that the Taiwan-based mobile manufacturer might possibly scrap the HTC Hima Ace project, which is also known as the HTC One M9 Plus.

Although the news is unconfirmed, @upleaks reported that the planned Hima Ace device will now be replaced by a new entry in the HTC Desire family called the HTC Desire A55. The alleged HTC Desire A55 will reportedly come with a 5.5-inch QHD display, a powerful MediaTek MT6795 octa-core 64-bit chipset, a fast 3 GB RAM, impressive 32 GB storage as well as a 20-megapixel rear camera.

If the rumors are true, then gadget enthusiasts can expect HTC to release the new products in a couple of weeks.
